FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 18, 2005 10th ANNUAL MIRACLE RIDE TO BENEFIT CONNECTICUT CHILDREN’S MEDICAL CENTER TAKES PLACE APRIL 24 HARTFORD, Conn.— The streets of Hartford will reverberate again this spring with the 10th annual Miracle Ride that takes place Sunday, April 24, at Hartford’s Bushnell Park. All types of motorcycles are welcome and the event takes place rain or shine. Riders can meet at Bushnell Park or at 12 starting satellite locations before converging to Hartford. At approximately 11:30 am, the 1,000 plus motorcyclists will leave the park and travel past Connecticut Children’s Medical Center where they will wave to the dozens of children and families who benefit from their generosity. Proceeds from this year’s event will help purchase three isolettes for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The procession continues to PNA Park on North Plains Industrial Road in Wallingford for a day of food, music and raffles. For the past 10 years, the Miracle Ride has raised more than $200,000 to help purchase special medical equipment and support vital programs at Connecticut Children’s.
