Aquatic Therapy Services

Aquatic Therapy Services are available for children of all ages. Goals of aquatic therapy may include but are not limited to:

• Decreasing pain
• Increasing functional mobility
• Improving posture, balance and coordination
• Improving sensory feedback and body awareness
• Increasing strength and endurance
• Improving range of motion
• Promoting relaxation

Aquatic Therapy Services may complement existing Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy Services or be provided as the sole means of therapy during a new episode of care.

An emphasis of programming is on teaching caretakers therapeutic pool activities for their children to assist in maximizing function and independence.

Aquatic Therapy Services are provided off site at the Avon Wellness Center.
