IBD FAMILY COUNCIL
The mission of the IBD Family Council is to help support clinical programs and research at The Center for Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The Council will realize its mission by:
- Raising private contributions to ensure the long-term continuation of the Center through the creation of a dedicated endowment that supports cutting-edge, bio-medical research devoted to searching for the cause of and finding a cure for Pediatric IBD.
- Acting as an advocate within CCMC, the State of Connecticut and the region to heighten awareness about the unique and pressing health concerns associated with Pediatric IBD, and other pediatric gastrointestinal disorders, and the vital need for research and specialized, comprehensive services for children with these diseases.
- Hosting education outreach activities that inform and empower children with Pediatric IBD as well as parents and caregivers.
- Providing a sensitive and caring support system for children with Pediatric IBD, parents and caregivers.
