Connecticut Children's Medical Center Bereavement Program offers support to families who have suffered the death of a child. The Program is coordinated by a multi-disciplinary team which includes medical, nursing, child life, social work and pastoral care staff as well as parents who have lost a child.

We offer aftercare (cards, letters and phone contacts on a regularly scheduled basis) to families.  We organize one memorial event per year and one holiday event.

We also provide training to Connecticut Children's Medical Center staff and parents on giving support to families who are confronting the death of their child.
