Reminder:
You must be present for the entire didactic portion of a CME activity in order to receive Category 1 credit.

As you may be aware, the state has passed new, more stringent licensure requirements for physicians regarding continuing medical education. Beginning Oct. 1, 2007, licensure renewals will require that applicants must have earned at least fifty hours of CME credit in the previous 24 months. The requirements include one hour of training or education in each of the following topics:

  • Infectious Disease (must include AIDS and HIV)
  • Risk Management
  • Sexual Assault
  • Domestic Violence
Lectures which fulfill these requirements will be clearly marked on all CME publicity.
