It is my pleasure to announce that the 2008 Isidore Wise Scholarship Awards Program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is now accepting applications. The scholarship fund was established through a generous bequest from Mr. Isidore Wise, a member of the Newington Children’s Hospital Board of Directors for 45 years. Since 1996, the medical center has stewarded these funds by awarding educational scholarships to worthy students who have an association with Newington Children’s Hospital, CCMC or the CCMC School.

This year, we will be awarding three grants of $5,000 each to individuals attending an accredited post-secondary undergraduate institution in the fall. These grants will be given to high school students who are completing their senior year in 2008 and who were or are presently patients of the Medical Center (including past patients of Newington Children’s Hospital).
