At CCMC, we value and require appropriate business conduct and
ethical behavior. We hold ourselves
to the highest standards of character and integrity. With this, CCMC
has developed several policies and documents that we expect our
employees, contractors and agents of CCMC to follow. These include:
(1) Code of Conduct, (2) Prevention of Waste, Fraud, and Abuse, (3)
Whistleblower Protection, and (4) Non-Discrimination.
Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct, along with our organizational
competencies and the rules of conduct included in our employee
handbook, defines our expectations for behavior in the work
environment. The eight standards in this document provide specific
guidance applicable to all “Staff”, defined as the Board of
Directors, employees, members of the medical staff, allied health
professionals, students, residents, volunteers, contractors, and
agents.
Prevention of Waste, Fraud and Abuse
The policy is to inform
employees, contractors and agents of CCMC regarding CCMC's efforts
to combat fraud, waste, and abuse in the medical center; to provide
general information of the federal False Claims Act; to describe the
remedies and fines for violations that can result from certain types
of fraudulent activities; and protections for reporting individuals.
Whistleblower Protection
The policy is to inform employees,
contractors and agents of CCMC regarding CCMC's efforts to
facilitate the making of disclosures of improper conduct by
employees, the use of a system of investigations, and the protection
of employees making disclosures from retribution.
Non-Discrimination
CCMC as an employer and educational
institution, values equality of opportunity, human dignity, and
racial/ethnic and cultural diversity. With this, persons shall not
be discriminated against.
