FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 23, 2006 "DR. BRENDAN T. CAMPBELL JOINS CONNECTICUT CHILDREN’S MEDICAL CENTER" HARTFORD, Conn.—Brendan T. Campbell, MD, MPH, of West Hartford, has joined the Department of General Surgery at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Campbell brings with him clinical expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, and is interested in health services research related to quality of care in pediatric surgery. He comes to CCMC from Arkansas Children’s Hospital where he completed his fellowship training in pediatric general and thoracic surgery. Dr. Campbell is a graduate of Cheshire High School and received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Trinity College. He received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Campbell was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of Michigan where he was an extracorporeal life support (ECMO) fellow and earned a master’s degree in public health. Dr. Campbell is board-certified in surgery and is an assistant professor of pediatric surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. |
