"Dr. Nathan Hagstrom Named New Division Head Of Hematology/Oncology At Connecticut Children’s"
HARTFORD, Conn— Dr. Hagstrom Named Head of Hem/Onc J. Nathan Hagstrom, MD, has been named the new head of the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and the University of Connecticut Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Hagstrom succeeds Arnold Altman, MD, the founding head of the division, who will continue his clinical, teaching and academic activities.
Dr. Hagstrom joined CCMC in 1998, and received his bachelor’s and medical degree from the University of Vermont. He completed his pediatric residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he also completed his fellowship in hematology/oncology. Dr. Hagstrom is board-certified in pediatrics and hematology/oncology, and is an associate professor of pediatrics with the UConn School of Medicine.
