Inpatient Clinical Services
The acute inpatient OT/PT therapists work as members of a
multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, intervention
and consultation services to all medical-surgical floors,
neonatal, pediatric intensive care and day surgery units.
Occupational and physical therapists address the acute and
complex functional needs of neonates and children, birth
through 18 years, and their families.
Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Service
The pediatric rehabilitation service provides technically
advanced, comprehensive, family-centered care to children
and adolescents through age 18 who have had brain injuries,
spinal cord injuries, neurological, neuromuscular, rheumatological, or other serious medical and/or
physiological impairment. The goal of this program is to
provide each child with the requisite skills and supports
necessary to re-enter home and school communities and reach
his or her full and unique potential. The team is directed
by a developmental pediatrician and core team members
include specialists in pediatric rehabilitation from
occupational and physical therapy, speech/language
pathology, nursing, psychology, special education, child
life and nutrition.
CCMC Ambulatory Care Centers
Occupational and physical therapists are integral team
members of multidisciplinary clinics established to
comprehensively serve children and their families with
unique and complex special health care needs.
