Adaptive Equipment/Power Mobility Services
Services are available for children of all ages. Services
may include but are not limited to evaluation and provision
of:
- Positioning Devices: sidelyers, standers, wedges,
and chairs
- Bathroom Equipment: bath devices, toilet chairs and
commodes
- Mechanical Lifts
- Car Seats
- Mobility Devices: walkers, wheelchairs (standard and
power), scooters and strollers
When power mobility appears to be a viable option,
training services are available from the OT/PT Department.
Collaboration with family, child and community therapist's
(home, and school) is always a priority.
Adaptive equipment services may compliment existing OT and
PT services or be provided as the sole means of therapy.
An emphasis of services is on providing the best possible
device to maximize body alignment and function. Custom
fabrication, including molded inserts is available.
