Patient Education
The Connecticut Children's Medical Center has state-of-the-art equipment making it
possible to carry out plain x-ray examinations in children at the lowest possible
dose. In addition, we have state-of-the-art fluoroscopic units that provide high
quality fluoroscopic imaging for upper GI series, barium enemas, VCUGs, etc., at
a very low radiation dose. We have the latest ultrasound equipment, and can perform
doppler imaging of solid organs as well as vascular structures. Our CT scanner
provides rapid scanning and is equipped with multiplanar reconstruction capabilities,
three dimensional reconstruction, and CT angiographic capabilities. Magnetic Resonance
Imaging (MRI) is provided on-site, sedation is available as needed. MRI operates
Monday through Friday from 730am until 11pm, some Saturday’s are available for
non-sedation studies.
