Objectives:

  1. Define the difference in presentation of overuse and traumatic injuries in the adolescent athlete.
  2. List the most common injuries to the upper extremity in the adolescent athlete.
  3. Describe the initial steps in the treatment of upper extremity injuries in the adolescent athlete.
