We are pleased to welcome you back as we begin the new academic year.
In addition to 41 Pediatric Grand Rounds lectures, we will offer an interesting and diverse roster of
evening lectures.
If you have not already done so, take a few minutes to view
our Grand Rounds online.
Over 300 physicians and mid-levels from as far away as
Africa have already done so, with more registering every
day.
As always, we welcome your feedback about our CME program. Feel free to contact
Mary Burke at
mburke@ccmckids.org.
Reminder: You must be present for the entire didactic portion of a CME activity in order to receive Category 1 credit.
As you may be aware, the state has passed new,
more stringent licensure requirements for physicians regarding continuing medical education. Beginning Oct. 1, 2007, licensure renewals will require that applicants must have earned at least
fifty hours of CME credit in the previous 24 months. The requirements include one hour of training or education in
each of the following topics:
- Domestic Violence
- Sexual Abuse
- Sexual Assault
- Infectious Disease (must include AIDS and HIV)
Lectures which fulfill these requirements will be clearly marked on all CME publicity.
Click here for more information about the new State of
Connecticut Department of Public Health Mandatory Continuing
Education requirements for physician licensing.
All faculty participating in CME activities sponsored by the CCMC
are required to disclose to the program audience any actual or apparent
conflict of interest related to the content of their presentations.
Program planners have an obligation to resolve any actual conflicts of
interest and share with the audience any safeguards put in place to prevent
commercial bias from influencing the content.
Unless otherwise noted, the lecturers listed here do not have a financial
interest/arrangement or affiliation with any organizations that could be
perceived as a real or apparent conflict of interest in the context of the
subject of their presentations. In cases where the lecturer discusses
off-label or investigational uses of commercial products, he/she will
identify such uses as off-label.
This activity has been planned and
implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of
the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)
through CCMC. CCMC takes responsibility for the content, quality
and scientific integrity of this CME activity.
CCMC designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA
PRA Category 1 Credit.TM
