CCMC's Government Relations Department uses two distinct strategies to advocate effectively for kids:
- Direct Lobbying entails talking with policy makers about issues that affect kids' health and acting as an expert resource for pediatric health information.
- Grassroots Advocacy involves mobilizing people who care about kids' health to influence policy issues that concern them. CCMC's Advocacy Network represents a group of people who care about kids' health and well-being and want to make a difference. Advocates write letters, make phone calls and share information when needed to influence policy making that affects kids.
